YW/YM Camp Packing List 2021

  • Camp Raymond is located just below 7,000 ft elevation. June temperatures are 81/49 with chance of rain.

  • We will leave Wednesday morning and return Saturday late afternoon. Please pack accordingly.

  • All youth camp gear should be packed in a 55 gallon trash bag labeled by ward, camp family, and name.

  • Any large gear (cots, large camp chairs, etc) that cannot fit in this bag needs to be labeled accordingly.

  • Day packs will be kept with you on the bus and throughout each day.

  • Please eat breakfast at home Wednesday and bring your own sack lunch for the drive up on the bus.

clothing

All clothing worn should follow the guidelines given in the "For the Strength of Youth" manual.

  • Pants or Shorts to the Knee

  • Shirts

  • Underwear

  • 2 Pairs of closed toe shoes

  • Socks

  • Sweatshirt/Warm Jacket

  • Rain Jacket/Poncho

  • Pajamas

Hygiene

  • Tooth Brush/Tooth paste

  • Deodorant

  • Body Wash/Soap

  • Shampoo

  • Sun Screen & Chapstick

  • Insect Repellant

  • Wash cloth/wet wipes

  • Towel

  • Comb/Brush

  • Feminine hygiene supplies

Equipment

  • Hat/Sunglasses

  • Flashlight

  • Refillable Water Bottle

  • Day pack/Backpack

  • Camp Chair

  • Scriptures/Journal & Pen

  • Sleeping Bag

  • Pillow

  • Sleeping Pad

  • Mess Kit

  • Extra 55 gallon trash bag for ride home

Things to Consider:

  1. Items not on this list should be left at home. If you have questions please contact your ward rep.

  2. Pioneer Clothes are not to be worn. Unless you want to, but that's kinda weird.

  3. Spending money will not be needed at camp or during travel. Please leave all valuables at home.

  4. Name should be written on any piece of equipment that may be mistaken for someone else's.

  5. Medication: All prescription medication will be managed by the youth.

  7. Musical Instruments can be brought; storage is available in director's cabin if needed.

  8. Youth should not bring or keep food in their bags/tents due to wildlife, specifically skunks.

  9. Cell Phones are permitted but no charging stations will be available.
